(Genetically modified) food everwhere.....and not worth while eating


It is amazing how stealthily the GMO's (genetically modified organisms/products) have taken over the market....90% on the corn and soy products available in the market are GMO'S. The major gmo producing companies like Monsanto have destroyed the native vegetation and genes, invaded into the human gene, and in my viewpoint this is definitely a cause of all the modern day malaises of chronic disease, including Obesity, Hypertension, arthritis and Cancers.

So beware and BE-AWARE!

BTW, it's soon going to be 'water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink!' if we don't mend our ways, and put a brake on global warming/pollution.

Despite positive results, they still want to get MORE research done before recommending it openly....remember, there are no pharma lobbies backing this up, so might be slow in coming up :)

Medical benefits of Yoga


There have been enough studies proving the benefits of Yoga and meditations in the recent past:

More than 1,000 studies have been conducted to determine whether yoga helps people suffering diseases. Here's a sample from the medical literature:

Depression Patients diagnosed with depression showed significant reductions in anger, anxiety and neurotic symptoms after completing yoga classes, according to researchers in California, Russia and Italy.

Cancer Cancer patients reported an improvement in overall well-being after practicing yoga, researchers in Canada found. In addition, a group of post-menopausal women who had been diagnosed with breast cancer reported to Duke University scientists that they had fewer hot flashes, slept better and felt less tired.

Diabetes People with metabolic syndrome, often a precursor to diabetes, took 90-minute yoga classes over 10 weeks and reported having higher energy, lower blood pressure and improved well-being compared to others who did not take the classes, California researchers reported.
